Jim joined the Stryker Corporation in May of 1988 as Manager of Training for the Surgical Division. He held numerous positions of increasing responsibility over 27 years, including General Manager, Dental Implants Division; Director of Strategic Sales; Vice President of Sales and Service, Medical Division and was the President of the Stryker Instruments Division for 6 ½ years. He retired in March 2015, taking the Instruments Division to over $1.8B in global sales.
After briefly retiring from Stryker, Jim joined FlexFab LLC, a manufacturer of silicone and elastomeric products for diesel engines as their C.O.O. until September 2018.
A former college football coach, Jim devotes his time to board work, individual business coaching and personal development.
Jim is a native of Detroit, Michigan. He attended Kalamazoo College and received graduate degrees from Ohio State University and the University of Notre Dame. He is married to Marsha, has two children (Carrie (Klain) and Rob) and two beautiful grandchildren. He loves to cycle, hike, read and play the banjo.
