Scottsdale neonatal med-tech startup NeoLight LLC beat out seven other startups to win today’s Rise of the Rest startup pitch competition at the Duce in Phoenix, receiving a $100,000 investment from AOL co-founder Steve Case.
NeoLight is a medical device company that designs and develops phototherapy technology to treat and eradicate jaundice in newborn infants.
CEO and co-founder Vivek Kopparthi said he was excited and happy for the win.
“I owe it all to ASU, CEI and the Flinn Foundation for their support,” Kopparthi told me after the win. “We will use the money for commercialization. Our job is to get it to market and save all those babies.”
